I had my lips done a bit too much throughout 2014 and I noticed a bump above my top left lip at the corner. I had this dissolved then waited 3 months and had my lips refilled. I know they have been over filled as the right hand side there is a ledge and filler looks above the lip. However the bump on the opposite side is back and I am worried there is permenant damage to my vermilion border which would always cause filler to leak up above the lip line. Is this possible? Or is bad technique?

HA fillers do not damage tissue.  Long term improvements can be seen if there is nodules I would consider reversing the fillers with hyaluronidase. Best, Dr. Emer.

It is very critical to ensure that lips are perfectly symmetrical since small imperfections are very apparent. Based on your photo you do not appear to have permanent damage to your lips but there is clear asymmetry most pronounced on the right side of the upper lip. You should definitely see your treating physician to consider correction. In your case, either adding more HA filler +/- using hyaluronidase would be appropriate choices depending on clinical examination.
