Seroma and likely infection. Will antibiotics be enough to help this heal?

Unfortunately without pictures, micro biologic cultures of the supposed infected area, and an in person exam, it is very difficult to say whether you are actually infected or not.  That being said, your story is not an unusual one.Seroma fluid that breaks through an incision leaves a route of entry for bacteria.  Bodily fluids such as serum are an excellent culture medium for almost all gram positive and gram negative bacteria.  Once an infection has started, it is almost impossible to cure with a foreign body such as an implant in place.  Some of the finest physicians in the world are from London, England.  London has a history of dealing with bacterial infections that go all the way back to 1929 when Sir Alexander Fleming presented his Nobel Prize winning findings on the use of penicillin to kill bacteria.   At this point, I recommend you speak to your personal physician about possibly getting a consultation with an infectious disease specialist. 

I am very concerned you have a breast implant infection. I would need an exam to be sure, but it sounds like your implant needs to be removed. Please see a plastic surgeon in your area as soon as possible.

Regardless where you had your procedure performed, it sounds as though you have had some problems after your operation and you now are under appropriate care by a doctor in your own country.  They will be able to assess your healing based on physical exam, blood tests, and other investigations as necessary.  

this is a truly unfortunate complication for you.  You will need to be seen by a properly trained plastic surgeon to help you with this.  It is likely that he will need removal of the implant with a period of healing prior to reimplantation.  There are protocols for salvaging an augmentation result with fairly good success but I suspect most surgeons would still recommend removal and additional surgery later.High fever, chills, or worsening condition should prompt an immediate evaluation in the emergency room.he need to take this problem seriously and have it treated promptly.

If there is any hope of salvaging your implant in this scenario, it needs to be managed properly. You need to see a board certified plastic surgeon ASAP for evaluation and treatment.

Without an exam it is difficult to say. Persistent fluid drainage may suggest an infection. Best to see a surgeon to evaluate you.

Unfortunately, once the seroma leaked through the incision, the changes of contamination and subsequent implant infection is very high. Since you can't seem to be able to see your operating surgeon, your remaining option is to see a surgeon in your locale. It is likely that the recommendation will be removal of the implant, and replacement will need to be delayed for several months. I don't think it is advisable to have this problem managed by  a non-surgeon. Good luck.

Make sure you are being seen by a PS and continue to follow up with this doctor on a regular basis.  Hopefully the antibiotics you are on will help keep infection at bay.  You will see worsening leakage with redness to skin, fevers, or pus drainage if the antibiotics are not working.
