Can I use a heating pad?

Just got home from surgery around 5pm and wondering is it ok to use a heating pad? How about rubbing them a little? I'm in so much pain and I want to know what I can and can't do to ease it a little

Xanax is a medicine that reduces anxiety.  If a patient experiences anxiety before or after surgery, I sometimes will prescribe it or something similar.  It would be up to your surgeon to determine if it would be appropriate for you.

It is unfortunate when it happens, but it's not uncommon, for a suture abscess to develop.  Once the suture is removed (usually comes out on its own), this should heal on its own without any problems, which is why your surgeon was not worried.  However if this is still not all healed,...
