A lady measured me at the hospital and my chest width under the boobs was 29. I was surprised because I thought I was broader. I know I'm not supposed to ask in terms of sizes but that's my only way to get an idea of how big. So let's just say we consider the middle of the road sizing system. The pic is me a few hours after the operation
Answer: I'm a large B cup and I had 360cc under the muscle....what size will I be eventually? Hello! Thank you for your question. In general, implant size does not correlate with bra cup size. The cup size itself will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as who is doing the actual measurements. Thus, cup size is never a reliable indicator for your breast size. I typically encourage my patients not to communicate her desires in cup size but more on the actual look and appearance. Good communication between you and your surgeon of your expectations is warranted - choosing your surgeon wisely is the first step. Discussion of your wishes and having an honest and open dialog of your procedure is mandatory (e.g, implant type, incision, placement, lift, etc). I have found that photographs brought by the patient is helpful to get a visualization of the appearance you wish for in terms of size, shape, fullness, etc. In addition, your surgeon's pre and postoperative photographs should demonstrate a realistic goal for you. Once this has been accomplished, allow your surgeon to utilize his/her best medical judgment during the procedure to finesse the best possible result for you after preoperative biodimensional planning and fitting the right implant for your breast width, which is the most important measurement. Hope me that this helps! Best wishes for a wonderful result!

Answer: Too early to tell Thanks for your question and the photo. Congrats on having the procedure. It's very hard to accurately predict cup size. Bras are made very differently and patients even have differences of opinion on what fits them the best. At 6 weeks the vast majority of the swelling will have dissipated but the entire process may take over 6 months. There is a ballpark number of 200CC to get to the next cup size. For younger patients with smaller breasts I have found that it doesn't often take quite that much. My guess is that you will be about 2 cups bigger than you started. The cup size however is different than the circumferential measurement of 29 that you have. That should not change. Don't be surprised if you can wear a 30DD or 32D. Best of Luck with your recovery. You should do great!

Answer: I'm a large B cup and I had 360cc under the muscle....what size will I be eventually? Congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. Online consultants will not be able to predict, with any reliability/accuracy, what cup size you will end up wearing. You will need to go bra shopping/fitting; in my practice, I ask patients to wait 3 to 6 months before doing so. Don't be surprised, at that time, if you end up different wearing different bra cup sizes, depending on who makes the bra. My best guess: D cup? Generally speaking, I ask my patients not to communicate their goals and/or evaluate the outcome of breast surgery in terms of achieving a specific cup size ( given the variability in the measurement of cup sizes…). Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with, regardless of the specific cup size achieved.

Answer: Bra size is irrelevant for the look Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, you should go see your plastic surgeon. Online consultants are not the appropriate source of information for you; your plastic surgeon should be your resource when it comes to postoperative concerns. You have a few months to wait until you have to worry about your size. Be happy if you are happy with the look. The bra size is irrelevant. Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. Brown Northern Virginia Plastic Surgeon
