I'm a professional dancer and do shows for work, this includes samba dancing and partner work aswell (salsa dancing). I'm already 5 weeks post op and I feel great with no complications but I want to know if I can return back to dancing or if I should wait longer... If so, I'm sooo looking forward to getting back :)
Answer: Dancing After Breast Augmentation Most plastic surgeons will recommend that you wait at least eight weeks before resuming any intense physical activity or heavy lifting, especially if it involves use of the pectoral muscle. You may be able to resume dancing before that eight week point depending on how much stress the activity puts on the chest and arms. I would encourage you to be patient and take time to heal, and definitely wait until your plastic surgeon gives you the go-ahead before resuming dancing or other physical activity.

Answer: Exercise after breast augmentation Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, I typically recommend 3 weeks before increasing heart rate, 4 weeks before going to the gym. By then you should have a pretty good idea about what activities hurt. As a general rule, if it still hurts, then don't do it. Best wishes, Dr. Michael J. Brown Northern Virginia Plastic Surgeon
