Chin augmentation with voluma?

Thank you for your question. Voluma is a great filler product to help with chin shaping. I would prefer to use is over Juvederm, as it is a stiffer product that holds the shape better. Usually less volume is needed to maintain the result. The best would be to use to go back when you notice subtle changes in your chin and you see some of the effects wear off.

Most of the hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm and Voluma can be used to help correct subtle asymmetries between the left and right chin points.  Voluma has the added benefit of lasting for up to 2 years, but it will eventually dissolve and more would be required to maintain your results.  More permanent solutions would include fat grafting or a chin implant.  Hope this helps. 

Thanks for your question.  There is no single filler that works best for the chin.  I have used Radiess, Perlane and Juvederm products, all with great success.  The filler used needs to be selected by considering the physician injector's experience and the particulars of the individual patient.  Take your time in selecting a well trained and experienced physician injector whose opinion you trust, and form a plan with them that works for you.  Best of luck!

There is no specific product that works best.  Voluma lasts longer so it may be a good choice for that reason.  It is most important that it is placed properly. I don't believe there are any fillers that are FDA approved for that use in the USA so it is  a matter of what your injector has the most experience with.

All of these fillers, and many more can be used for chin augmentation. I use a variety of fillers to achieve the end goal in these areas. Voluma last 2+ years to it does have an advantage over some other fillers. All the bestDr Davin Lim
