Can I have breast augmentation with type 1 diabetes (Hba1c

Question

I'm looking to have breast surgery, I have taken out a loan to pay for it and I am looking for a surgeon who is happy and willing to do it for me. My GP is 100% on board with this decision and has given me the go ahead. My blood sugar levels on a daily basis are well controlled and I have a Hba1c of <66. no problems healing, is there any advice or recommendations of which surgeon to go to in the UK. Many thanks

Thank you for your question.  Each surgeon will have their own protocol they wish to follow when a pt has medical issues.  As long as you are controlled and medically cleared it should not be a problem. I would see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options.  Best of luck to you.

A breast lift can be done with breast augmentation so that the breasts can be more youthful looking. The breast lift/mastopexy addresses the sagginess of the breast by removing excess skin and the breast augmentation will had volume to the breast.  There are several different types of lifting including many lifts that do not have many scars. This does not necessarily mean that you need lifting though as it depends what size breast implant you want and your examination so it is not always needed.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon who is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and has plenty of experience in breast augmentation & lifting surgery. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event.
