Answer: Surgery If you are medically stable on treatment and obtain a medical clearance from you doctor, you should be able to have elective surgery. Do remember that surgery is stress. I would suggest talking to a board certified plastic surgeon to determine what procedure is best, and then talk to your doctor about these plans.

Answer: Am I able to get breast implants with nmo/ms? Hello and thank you for your question. Generally speaking, as long as you have a stable medical condition that is adequately treated, you might be able to have the breast augmentation. I would suggest that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon for a more complete evaluation. Your plastic surgeon may want to consult your neurologist in order to determine your candidacy and the timing of your procedure while you are least affected by the medication. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
