I really hate the size of my Areolas. This is my main problem. I am currently not as bothered about the sagging of the breast- more the Areola size. Originally I just wanted a Benelli lift to decrease the size of my Areolas, but a surgeon has said I will need either and anchor or Lollipop scar which is something I was not wanting. What do people suggest? I am 25 and don't want to not be able to breast feed when I am older hence I didn't want a boob lift at this age- just Areola reduction
Answer: Breast lift Dear Gemma23n, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Benelli lift or lollipop? Hello, thank you for your question. A Benelli lift with a scar around just the nipple only moves the nipple but does not lift the rest of the breast. A lollipop lift will move more breast tissue upward if performed properly.

Answer: Bellesoma Lift A Benelli lift would be inadequate and a lollipop lift uses ugly vertical scars. Instead, I recommend The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. The areolas can be reduced to the size you desire. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Areola reduction alone might work Weight change might affect the size and perkiness of your breasts. Results of surgery could change in the future with significant weight change or pregnancy. The milk of pregnancy could change your surgical results. After pregnancy, your breasts could remain the same size, slightly bigger, slightly smaller and/or droopier. And, what can happen, can change from pregnancy to pregnancy. I recommend, if and when you are ready, an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. If you wish to have larger breast, then an implant could be used at the same time. Fat transfer usually provides a small increase in size. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author RealSelf Distinguished Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Areolae If you are not getting implants and just want your areolae made smaller, this can be done with the periareolar incision. However, if you want an enlargement and lift, you will probably need the vertical lift. Otherwise, your areolae may stretch out again.
