Dear levans1101,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients but you should be able to sleep on your back. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I tell my patients to lie the best they can where they feel comfortable. There is nothing much more than can be done with regards to positions. Find a good pillow to prop you in the positions that are best. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Best, Dr. Emer
Thanks for your question! In general, I advise my patients that they can sleep in any comfortable position following liposuction. You may be a little sore the first night or two, but you really shouldn't have much difficulty. As your surgeon may have different advice, you should check with him or her as well.
Thank you very much for your question. You can sleep on your back and this Will not cause you any problems, i recommend to use two pillows, one under the knees and the other under your head that way your body won't put all the Weight on your flanks. Good luck!
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You can adopt the position that best suits you and in which you feel most comfortable. It helps to use several pillows to accommodate yourself If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
Dear Levans1101, thank you verymuch for sharing your question with us.First of all, I will encourage you to talk with your surgeon, to be sure before the procedure and to have all your questions answered. Second, In my experience my patients can sleep in any position they want after 360° Liposuction without any problem. If you use your post op girdle the compression will help you in the healing process.Best wishes,
Thank you for your question. Every plastic surgery office has their own set of pre and post operative instructions that they recommend their patients follow. It is most important to follow the instructions of your surgeon.
Veronica. Your experience is not unusual, and I always warn my arm liposuction patients to watch out for hand swelling caused by the compression garment after arm liposuction surgery. I always advise them to remove the garment if the hands starts to swell and only use it periodically. Follo...
While this isn't a typical side effect, it may be a result of nerve irritation. If it persists, I recommend following up with your surgeon. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve ...
Thank you for asking about your liposuction.Your surgeon was trying to give you contour but removed all the fat under the skin. The result is internal scar. It may get better - or worse. I am not convinced that massage or other treatments make a difference but ,massage is harmless and won't mak...
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a better candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction. This can be done through a low incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. ...
Thank you for asking about your liposuction. If your surgery was six months ago, then yes, you can have any liposuction.Check with your gastric band surgeon to be sure. If you are losing weight with the gastric band, keep losing and keep liposuction for when you stop losing. Hope this helps. ...
