Hello! I have been to a few consults and told that 4 liters of fat can be removed via liposuction. I would prefer to not have a tummy tuck. However, I’m having a hard time picturing what that will look like on me. The lipo I would have done would be to only the hips, some in the arms, back and stomach. I was told that going for the thighs is it recommended. Which I am ok with that I suppose. But what will 4 liters in these ares get me?

Answer: Liposuction can really change a body but NOT IN FLORIDA ! Liposuction can make such a dramatic improvement in so many patients but you need to do it where the 3-4 liter limit of florida doesn't exist. Head west to California and get 6-8 liters removed with each of 3 liposuction procedures and look great. The tummy will need 6-8 liters of fat removed as will the thighs as well. The back probably only needs approx. 5 liters removed. The 3 lipos can all be done within 1 week under tum..local. Unfortunately, Florida limits the amount of fat removal to just 3-4 liters and that only helps the skinny people.

Answer: Candidate for Tummy Tuck It is best to be seen in person, but based on the photos alone, you seem to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck. Unfortunately there are no real effective nonsurgical ways to treat loose skin and the best way to address the issue is with a tummy tuck. A tummy tuck will remove the excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and tightens the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer. Liposuction is often done with a tummy tuck to help achieve an hour glass figure. In Florida, the maximum amount of fat that can be removed in one surgery is 4 Liters, which is why previous surgeons had told you this amount. I would consult with a plastic surgeon so they may best explain the procedures that will help you achieve the aesthetic results you desire. Good luck! Kamran Azad MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Liposuction Liposuction will not give you the results you are looking for. Your abdominal skin will be lumpy, and you will then need an abdominoplasty to fix it. In my estimate, weight loss with exercise is your best option, with an abdominoplasty as second option. I would not suction your abdomen, as you would be a unhappy patient post-opGood luck,
