This can happen sometimes. I recommend following up with your Doctor to make sure your compression garment fits. I have my patients wear customized compression after their procedure. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Best, Dr. Emer
Veronica. Your experience is not unusual, and I always warn my arm liposuction patients to watch out for hand swelling caused by the compression garment after arm liposuction surgery. I always advise them to remove the garment if the hands starts to swell and only use it periodically. Follow up with your plastic surgeon to confirm my advice. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. Swelling after liposuction is quite common. It's best to follow your surgeons specific advice post-operatively. We typically have our patients wear compression garments on the areas we did liposuction to help the skin and underlying tissues re-adhere as well as reduce swelling. I'd highly suggest you contact your surgeon's office regarding your plan. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a better candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction. This can be done through a low incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. ...
If you have lap band you can have liposuction. I suggest you see an expert who specializes in full body contouring. Best, Dr. Emer.

Dear mushky88,compression garments are used to reduce swelling and most plastic surgeons recommend them 24/7 in order to achieve the best results. However, it should not be too tight to cause pain or discomfort. It is unlikely that this pause will cause permanent negative results. If you are ...
