Answer: Pain after Liposuction--Add Radiofrequency, Thermage, Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, hyperbaric oxygen Pain can be variable for patients who have had liposuction. If necessary, this pain can be treated with anti-inflammatory medications and neurontin. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. It can take 3-6 months for final results with liposuction. I suggest lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen, and RF treatments like venus legacy to help reduce any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Liposuction Recovery PreciousK. I appreciate your concern, but it sounds like normal aches and pains after liposuction, especially if you had multiple areas treated. As a precaution, check in with your plastic surgeon for evaluation. Good luck.

Answer: PAIN, BRUISING AND SWELLING ARE TEMPORARY SIDE EFFECTS AFTER LIPOSUCTION. Hello PreciousK, I’m sorry for the adverse symptoms you are experiencing! Pain, bruising and swelling are common temporary side effects after liposuction. The swelling and bruising during the first week are significant, and most patients will have difficulties moving around, in general. However, your surgeon will give you pain medication to handle any pain that might be involved and help you feel much more comfortable. After the first 7-9 days, you will notice that the swelling, soreness, and pain will begin to fade away. You will see significant improvement in the way your body feels and looks in the following 2 weeks. Be patient during these 2 weeks and you will then begin to see the final results of your liposuction procedure. Refrain from strenuous activity for the first month after surgery and contact your surgeon promptly if you notice an increase in swelling, pain, redness, drainage, or bleeding in the surgical area, or if you develop fever (above 100.4 F), dizziness, nausea, or vomiting. Hope this is helpful! Dr. De La Cruz.

Answer: Pain after liposuction Hello and thank you for your question! Liposuction can be quite an aggressive procedure, so it is not uncommon to still be experiencing some pain/soreness. Six days may seem like a lot, but it takes the body anywhere from six months to a full year to recover completely from liposuction. That's not to say you will experience pain during this entire time, as most pain and swelling should start to diminish around the second to third week post op. If you continue to have pain that does not subside I would suggest contacting your surgeon for a follow up exam. Best of luck!
