Could I do lipo 360 if my stomach hangs in the front or is that more for a tummy tuck? (Photo)

Hello and thank you for your question. You have too much skin laxity for liposuction alone.  Based on your photograph and skin laxity, you are a great candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction.  This can be done through a low incision, all completely below the bikini line.  The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior.   Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

Great question. Thank you for your picture. You can still proceed with a BBL procedure; however, you have to understand that liposuction may cause more skin elasticity, other than giving you a flat appearance. You may also have a tummy tuck and BBL performed at the same time. If you prefer not to, a BBL can be performed at a later date. Please visit a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical plan to achieve your desired results.

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. For a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), we inject the fat into the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face. Cellulite should also be treated with a combination of Cellfina, subcision, and/or fillers such as Bellafill, Renuva synthetic fat, or Sculptra. If skin is very loose before surgery, then it will need to be removed: tummy tuck/abdominoplasty for lower abdominal skin; breast lift for excess breast skin; and/or a brachioplasty for loose arm skin.

From your photograph, your abdomen protrudes anteriorly.  Liposuction only removes fat and does not resect excess skin.  If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement.  The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.  After this, you can consider liposuction and Brazilian butt lift.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Thank you for your question. I routinely perform liposuction of the hips and flanks in combination with abdominoplasty and Brazilian butt lift.  I often liposuction the abdominal flap as well. Since the advant of progressive tension suturing, I have found this combination is very safe.  There is no reason for you to have a staged or separated procedures. Best wishes to you.

Thank you for your question and photo. Although you would need a tummy tuck eventually, first I would do VASER Hi Def Lipo 360 with a buttock shaping and enhancement with fat. The advantage in this sequence as opposed to tummy tuck first, is that I can liposuction the whole abdomen, anterior and lateral rib cage, the whole back, lower back fat pad, the sides including the waist, hips and bra rolls (truly 360 degrees, with all areas treated and connected for maximum skin shrinkage around your muscles). The advantage is that your abdominal skin will tighten significantly which results in a low and much shorter abdominoplasty incision later on.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. based on the photos alone you appear to be a candidate for 360 lipo with a BBL and
tummy tuck. I personally
do not recommend my patients perform 360 lipo with BBL and a tummy tuck at the same
time as it makes recovery difficult, not being able to sleep on your back
(BBL) or stomach (TT). The plan I often recommend is for candidates
should proceed with the liposuction and BBL and then later (at least six month afterwards) addressing
the loose skin with a tummy tuck. Liposuction alone won't address the loose skin. As always, consult with a plastic surgeon in person so they may better
address the procedures with you and help you achieve the aesthetic

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I appreciate your concerns, and while liposuction will provide some improved contour of your abdominal and flank regions, it will have no effect on the small area of hanging skin of your lower abdomen. Liposuction of your abdomen and flanks, combined with either full or a mini tummy tuck, will provide the most dramatic results to improve contour of that region. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to confirm my advice.
