Is it OK if I get lip injections after breast augmentation?

I got a breast augmentation almost 5 months ago. I am wondering if it is okay if I get my lips filled? I don’t want it to cause capsular contracture or any complications to my implants. Please let me know if this is okay. Thank you!

I would advise waiting until after your pregnancy to obtain a lip augmentation with fillers.  Technique is key when it comes to lip injections, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

If you are concerned about whether you have experienced a complication from lip injections, your provider should be providing this reassurance. Your lips look unnaturally swollen but the blood supply does not appear to have been compromised.

Thank you for your question.  I do not suspect that lip fillers will be of any help in treating xeostomia or cheilitis.  In fact, until you have determined that the reason for your particular medical issues are benign and well controlled I would not have any injections into your lips.
