Wound healing can be around 3 weeks and swelling will take time to settle down. You will be given an exercise regime to follow in post operative period to help your recovery. Manual lymphatic massage may help as well. You should use the surgical garments provided. You should plan your recovery phase in terms of return to driving which be second or third week, return to work and exercise.
