There's no such thing as a transaxillary lift. What some choose to do is a transaxillary implant and a lift done on the skin but that ends up giving you two incisions and if you have a hematoma with the implant it's very difficult to accesss anymore because of the scar being far from the implant.
While an implant can be placed through the armpit, a lift must be done on the breast itself. If your implants are the right size and in the right place the lift can be done without touching them. An experienced plastic surgeon will help you select the right type of lift.
A breast lift mastopexy requires repositioning of the breast tissue. That is not possible through a small remote incision in the armpit
Unfortunately that isn't possible, if you feel you need a lift it is best to have an in person consult
Breast lifting surgery involves some degree of removal of breast skin and/or subcutaneous tissue. This “tightening of the skin envelope" of the breasts serves to list the breast position on the chest wall. In the process, the nipple/areola complex these are also moved superiorly. Therefore, the trans-axillary approach is not useful for breast lifting. I hope this helps.
Currently there is no standard technique of lifting the breast through the arm pit. As you know an implant can be inserted through the arm pit. There is a round block type of breast lift that can be done around the areola.
Regarding: "Transaxillary Breast Lift? Can You Do a Lift and Retain the Implant? Can a lift be done from the under arm area?" Every breast implant placement incision has its advantages and disadvantages. The Arm Pit (Transaxillary) incision trades a distant hidden incision for invisibility. With the exception of the unrealistic option of putting in permanent rods extending from the arm pits to the bottom of the breast that you could push down on whenever you wanted to raise your breasts up, It is IMPOSSIBLE to lift a breast through that incision. A breast lift can not be performed through a transaxillary incision. Only a breast augmentation. You have to litf the tissue locally more directly.
The only procedure that can be done through the armpit is an implant and implants don't lift you.
Hi Kat66, You are correct. You had some asymmetry prior to your augmentation and the appearance is now more noticeable with larger breasts. It looks from your photo your entire left side of your body dips lower, starting at your shoulder. That being said, it does appear your left side has bo...
You should give it some more time to settle in. This can take 3-4 months. Then get it reassessed after seeing your surgeon for follow-up.
Whether or not you use the same implant for the revision will depend on several factors. If you have rippling or capsular contracture you will need new implants. If the implant is just in the wrong position then it can be reused.
