Can I go without a lift if I have round saline or silicone teardrop implants? (Photos)

I would highly recommend performing the lift as well. I would highly recommend finding a highly trained aesthetic plastic surgeon (preferably 6 years of dedicated plastic surgery residency and 1 year of aesthetic fellowship). Best of luck!

Thanks for your question! If you were my patient, I would tell you that I wouldn't put an implant in without a lift. If you put in an implant, it will sit at your inframammary fold and the breast will look fine in clothing, but you wouldn't be happy out of clothing. I would suggest getting a lift with an implant. Although I do not know your measurements, based on the photos you shared, a lift would be recommended to help you achieve the look you want.

Ultimately the decision is up to you. I would recommend asking your plastic surgeon for realistic expectations if you were to proceed without a lift.

In person exam is essential. Based on the posted photos it appears that you would benefit from an extended mastopexy to make your breasts perkier and balance out the asymmetry , and smaller implants ( if you desire more volume) placed under the muscle. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS to review your options

It is completely normal for the breasts to be asymmetric in size and/or shape. It is actually abnormal for a woman’s breasts to be perfectly symmetrical. If the size asymmetry bothers you however, you can consider a breast implant in your left breast to match the size of your right. If you don’t want implants, then a breast reduction can be performed on the right breast to match the size of your left.

Hi. Based on your pictures I would recommend a breast lift in addition to the breast implants. Without a lift you would essentially have the breast hanging off an implant, or have the breast potentially sagging down even lower with an implant pulling down on them. It is certainly nice to avoid the scars from a breast lift when that is reasonable, but you need to factor in the shape compromises that go along with that and if there is enough stretching and drooping of the breast, then a lift is needed. I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience with breast surgery to help guide you through this process.

Your breasts are too low on the chest wall. Adding large implants will result in large low breasts. The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. I would have to agree with a lift in your case because otherwise your nipple-areolas would always be below the apex of the implant. If you want to go very big you may get away without a lift but you would still have this appearance.

Hi. I think that you will need a breast lift to get a nice result. If you don't have the lift, it won't matter what type of implant is used. Without the lift, the implants would cause more sagging over time and only make the problem worse. Hope that helps. Best of luck!
