Implants moving - will this get better with time?

The answer to this question will vary based on if you have silicone or saline implants.

In my experience, patients with saline implants can usually always feel the implants moving.

Hi there, your breast implants are meant to move within the pocket they are in to some extent. However, if they are rolling over that may be cause for concern. I recommend a follow up appointment with your surgeon.

Thanks for inquiry, without an exam it is hard to advise. In general terms the laxity of your breast implant will not reduce with time . Over the years patients have relayed that the feeling that your implants feel "a part of you" usually occurs after a few months, but each person is different. Please be discussing your concerns with your surgeon, best of luck.

Implants moving around is a good thing. If the space isn’t large enough for some moving around of the implants you can get capsular contracture,

With thin tissue, implants can be more noticeable. Your pockets could be made smaller with mesh to keep the implants in place.

Without a physical examination, it is impossible to determine a cause with any degree of accuracy.
I am not clear if this is a "feeling", or if there is actually positional drift of the implant. If this represents an excessively large pocket, a pocket adjustment may be required. The margins of the pocket can be sutured together to make it smaller to prevent recurrence of drift. In our practice, we usually wait for a period of 6 months or so, to see if there will be spontaneous shrinkage of the capsule.
If there has been some improvement, we recommend that you continue support for another 6 months. If there has been no improvement, it may be time to consider revision. 15% of cosmetic surgeries can be improved with a touch-up procedure.
Revisit your plastic surgeon for reevaluation and advice.
