In my practice, it is not unusual at all to have a 60-year-old woman seeking a breast lift. They can have the same self-esteem issues and interest in being perky as a woman half her age.
Thanks for your inquiry and an excellent question and absolutely many 60 year old women consider breast lifts. 60's is NOT OLD! If you are in good health then you can safely consider surgery. Please discuss with your primary care doctor if you are in good health standing for elective surgery and visit with board certified plastic surgeons, good luck.
Yes, my oldest breast lift patient is in her 80's. Older patients are no different than younger patients as long as they are in good health.
Many people over 60 have cosmetic surgery as long as they are healthy. I have personally done several breast lifts over 60 and even over 70. As long as your personal physician and you feel you are healthy enough, go for it. Good luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. There are many women in their 60s who have breast lifts with good results. I have a significant amount of women really at all ages desiring a breast lift. If you are healthy and a good candidate, I don't see why you can't have it done.
60 is the new 40 and it's never too late to get your body looking the way you want! After medical clearance for surgery, a board certified plastic surgeon that gets beautiful breast lift results should be able to help you achieve your goals! Best of luck and hope this helps!-JGH
A breast lift can be performed on a variety of age groups. I personally have performed breast lives on women well over the age of 60 with great success. Good luck to you and I hope you have a wonderful result.
Hello dear, thanks for yourquestion and provided information as well..The breasts may lose their elasticity and firmness which can be caused bydifferent factors such as pregnancy, massive weight loss, lactation and aging. To reaffirm the breasts and restore the natural look your surgeon can perform amastopexy or breast lift. A breast lift restores a firmer, perkier, and moreaesthetically pleasing shape to sagging breasts. This not only can improvea patient’s appearance by restoring her youthful, feminine proportions, but also help bras and swimsuits fit more comfortably andattractively. By removing excess, stretched out skin, reshaping the breasttissue, and raising the nipple & areola into a more forward position, acosmetic surgeon can create a more youthful breast contour. Stretched, large areolae can also be reduced during breast lift surgery, creating anoverall better proportioned, natural looking breast, Actually the perkiness ona person or another, depends on patients skin and breast tissue
Thank you for the question. In our practice, we perform a fair number of breast lifts for patients 60 years young, on a monthly basis; in other words, your age does not exclude you from being a good candidate for breast surgery. I would advise you to seek consultation with board certified plastic surgeons to discuss your options. In our practice, a mammogram, EKG, and medical clearance is required to proceed with surgery. Take care and good luck!
I usually recommend patients to stop phenteramine 2-4 weeks before surgery . Patients can resume their medications after surgery. There are other medications that your surgeon may want you to stop ; aspirin, ibuprofen etc. You should speak to your plastic surgeon and follow their recommendations.

Thank you for your question. Glad your recovery is going well and you are considering a sauna. In my practice I would not encourage this at 2 weeks postop and you should ask your PS his/her advice.
