I am 33, and had extremely chubby cheeks no matter what my weight....in my 30's they started to thin....and I got noticeable nasolabial folds. I am currently dieting so ....should I wait to have fillers until I have lost the weight and should I have volume put back into the cheeks when actually it was a problem before? The cheeks were too chubby but now it's created sagging. And my face is still fat which is bad...so I'm confused. Thanks in advance for advice
Answer: Fillers and weight loss You may want to consider focusing on nonsurgical tightening while you are losing weight. You are young and have nice fullness to your face. Options for skin tightening include Ultherapy, Exilis and Sculptra aesthetics. Sculptra is a unique filler that can be injected to restore volume and in a different dilution can be used to tighten skin. Please have a Consultation with a qualified provider to determine the best direction.

Answer: Filler ad volume loss As a general rule, if you are in the active process of weight loss than having filler injection now would be very disappointing soon. Although filler will add the volume, if your weight loss is rapid, you will lose the effect not because of filler metabolism but because you will lose your natural filler- the fat. Looking at your photos your problem is not that much of volume deficiency or skin laxity. It is related to relatively insufficient bony support in your upper face. This, however, can be corrected in may ways.To avoid significant changes related to weight loss, consider losing weight very slowly, for example 1-2 lbs per....month! As unattractive as it may feel, within a year you could lose up to almost 25lbs, which is a significant amount. Moreover, losing 1-2 lbs per month requires less than minimal restrictions, avoids feeling food deprived, and should not be even considered a "diet", a word our brain rebels against. To pout it in numbers, to lose 1-2 lbs per month means reducing caloric intake by 3,500 - 7,000 over 30 days which is about 120 - 240 cal less per day. And that is without changing your physical activities.By doing this you have very high chance of maintaining your facial volume and, once you reach your target weight, there is a great chance you will not regain it. Good luck!

Answer: Threadlift Hi tannyleics, Congratulations on your weight loss! Since you have apprehensions about cheek fillers, ask your doctor about the PDO Threadlift. We have seen great results using resorbable material that anchors on your skin and induces collagen growth. It is effective for the midcheek and the nasolabial folds. It can also help with skin laxity and beginning jowls. It is fine to start with this now since results take some time and last long. All the best, Justin Haper, M.D.
