This may sound stupid - I know I’m not doing my body/skin any favors with smoking and my ED - but, I am trying to prevent aging as much as possible during and despite the above - I get Botox EVERY month..my PA said once I really chew through Botox quickly- I get 30-50 units in forehead/eyes/frown, & a few in upper lip lines. Am I getting the wrong product, and/or is my continued weight loss/nutrition deficits causing this? What can I do to be proactive with aging/prevention of it?

Answer: Anorexia and Botox Unfortunately, suffering from anorexia will make your face appear much older. What makes a "baby" face is a volume of the soft tissue, mostly fat. Losing fat volume "deflates" the entire face. But there is another significant factor. As you know the anorexia is always associated with osteopenia, a loss of bone mass. This also contributes to the loss of your facial bony support. It is a difficult situation and I truly hope you are under the care of the anorexia specialists. Good luck!

Answer: Botox and anorexia I don't know if it's your eating disorder that's causing you to have effect of Botox that does not last as long as you'd like to, but eating disorders in general will lead to much faster aging and poor health conditions. Just the fact that you are admitting to your eating disorder is a good start and you should probably visit a professional to help you in dealing with this issue. Good luck from New York City
