When do attachments get removed?

Question

My dentist has advised that I wear my last tray for the next 6 months as a retainer night and day, then move to night time only for a further 6 months, then every other night. Will I need to keep my attachments on all of this time?! Ive just finished my last tray (tray 27).

Once your teeth are done moving the attachments can be
removed. If you are just in the stage where the teeth are being held you are
okay not having athacments.

The aligner is not durable enough to act as a retainer. Your dentist needs to order retainers from invisalign if you are happy with the results.  The attachments are removed when the retainers are delivered
