When do attachments get removed?

My dentist has advised that I wear my last tray for the next 6 months as a retainer night and day, then move to night time only for a further 6 months, then every other night. Will I need to keep my attachments on all of this time?! Ive just finished my last tray (tray 27).

Certainly any gap can be closed with Invisalign. It’s just a matter of time and the process. The bigger the teeth and provided you are comfortable with having attachments on these teeth, you will be able to close that gap. Braces might work marginally faster but I guess it’s a decision you hav...

Both options have good prognosis of improving open bite. Invisalign has some cosmetic advantages and lends itself to improving the open bite. I suggest reviewing pros and cons with an orthodontist who has a lot of experience in BOTH techniques

I was sorry to hear of your illness but am pleased to hear of your recovery. It sounds as if you will have to start treatment  all over again as the teeth have shifted and the aligners no longer fit.  Since the process will require new impressions and fabrication of new aligners...
