I have completed 59 weeks of Invisalign treatment but am left with a gap in my front teeth. The dentist had to shave my front tooth for it to move into place as it was crooked. I am told it will not move any more and I need to pay for composite bonding if I want to close the gap. Is this correct please?
I have seen three different orthodontists for Invisalign consultations. Only one mentioned treating my gum recession prior to Invisalign. My dentist had previously noted the recession and had been observing it. Am I okay to proceed with Invisalign and treat the recession afterwards?
I have had invisalign for about 3 months, the main goal was to straighten a tooth but after 3 months with the invisalign treatment am not happy with results at all i feel like my teeth havent moved at all and the dentist wouldnt do anything about it he kept saying it is risky and that tooth cant be straight but it sounds more like he is just not willing to do anything so i was wondering if it is true what he is saying?
I got my Invisalign 3 years ago and after 2 months of wearing them I started getting headaches and dizziness. Then 2 months later I got neck and shoulder pain along with numbness and tingling and sharp pain. I have gotten MRIs, blood work, and nerve testing and everything comes out good, could it be that shifting my teeth gave me these issues is everything is coming out fine. Im tired of living with this chronic pain!
Hi! I had taken an impression of my teeth and have received a simulation of my course of treatment. The thing I like least is the way my teeth would be pulled back, which I am concerned would cause my lips to fall/curve inward and project less. I would prefer this to not happen, is it possible to modify the procedure to prevent this? If not what might other options be?
I didnt take care of my teeth in middle school and got cavities. In my early twenties, I bleached my teeth, replaced my stained fillings and got resin infiltration on my white spots. Most of these were near the gumline, but I also have a little bonding on my bottom front tooth to hide a chip. I want to get Invisalign to fix a slightly crooked front tooth and gap, but I heard attachments will fall off if you already have composite on your teeth. Is this true?
I have a gummy smile and would like to get Invisalign for my top and bottom teeth. I'm just not sure which procedure to have first? Should I follow up with a dental provider to have a gum reduction before I get Invisalign or does the order of procedures not matter? I also had a an Invisalign consultation a few years ago and was told I was a good candidate. I just never followed through because of the costs.
First photo is the day I finished Invisalign treatment. They look great, staring straight at myself in what I can only view as 2D. Weeks have gone by and I noticed I do not like the position of my upper right lateral incisor. I took a second mirror and placed it at an 80 angle against a mirror on the wall and those are photos 2 & 3. Asked ortho to address tooth 7 lateral incisor and all he did was put a dent behind my retainer on backside of that tooth. Help!
