I have had Crohn's Disease for about 20 years now. I have always struggled with my weight and being happy with the shape of my body, especially my hips and buttocks. I have an Ostomy bag for the past 6-7 years & have felt better than ever, but still unhappy with my shape. Am I still a candidate for a BBL?

I suppose there are two questions that need addressing them. The first is surgeons level of comfort doing a BBL on patients with an ostomy bag. Some providers may be apprehensive due to fear of potential contamination. The surgery requires patients be repositioned while asleep(unless the procedure is done with you awake). each plastic surgeon will have their own view on this, and there is no yes or no answer. Some plastic surgeons may be willing to work with you and for others it may be an absolute no.
The second issue is your candidacy for the procedure. To assess your body. We need to see better pictures. Look at how plastic surgeons take before and after pictures to get an idea. We generally need to see pictures of you standing upright, showing your front side and backside from your shoulders to your knees.
I suggest scheduling multiple in person, consultations with a plastic surgeons who have a proven track record with this procedure in your community.
