I am 1 year post op from gastric bypass. Current weight 148, 5ft 5.5in. I know I want/need some kind of extended tummy tuck, arm lift, breast implants and a lower body lift(maybe?) But even with all the skin gone I will still have no hips or butt. Would a bbl be enough to round out my athletic figure? I have had 4 babies, my abdominal muscles are shot, but the loose skin on my thighs isnt all that bad, I have this new body that still doesnt seem to fit me right.
Answer: Tummy Tuck and BBL Thanks for the question As a a board certified plastic surgeon who also has a fellowship in Plastic Surgery after massive weight loss, after seeing your pictures I recommend you a Full Tummy Tuck with muscle repair to correct the sagging skin excess getting and stronger and flat abdomen, also a belly, waist, flanks and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour , I suggest to take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL). Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: Tummy Tuck Candidate Thanks for your question. From your pictures, it's hard to tell if you would be a good candidate for a BBL since you do not have pictures of the back. However, but you do seem to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin in the abdominal area. I suggest scheduling a consult for a proper recommendation. Hope this helps. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Dr. Moises Salama, board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Hourglass figure Dear Luminous181097, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit the most from tummy tuck. however, BBl can improve your shape- If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift with a 360-degree Lower Body Lift "Congratulations on your weight loss journey! A Brazilian Butt Lift combined with a 360-degree lower body lift could indeed help achieve your goal of an hourglass figure, especially after significant weight changes post-gastric bypass. The BBL will add volume and shape to your buttocks and hips, while the lower body lift will address and contour excess skin. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon experienced in post-weight loss body contouring is key for a tailored treatment plan. "

Answer: Body contouring surgery after massive weight loss I ask my weight loss patients to prioritize the procedures they are most interested in. A BBL would help in addition to those procedures you listed. In my opinion a tummy tuck would be the most beneficial.
