59 - Am I too old to fix 30 yr old postpartum abs with stretch marks and lax skin? (Photo)

I'm a fit , 5'6 125 pound, 59 yr old woman hoping to get a tummy tuck & face lift before I retire in a few years, & have working income to pay it off. I have 30 yr old post partum stretch marks with lax abdominal skin that I have wanted to repair forever but have not had the $. This is a big deal for me & something I have thought about forever but could not afford due to family responsibilities. Am I too old for a tummy tuck with expectations of bikini worthy abs? The stretch marks are pretty deep. Also, where are reputable surgeons with great track records that I can realistically afford having this done? I want my confidence back but I don't want to over leverage myself financially & risk my health as well

59 is not a contra-indication for surgery. You may benefit from a full tummy tuck. You may also benefit from a mini tummy tuck is done with a breast lift using the Bellesoma. I would need photographs of your breasts to give you a more accurate answer.

Thank you for your question and photo. First of all, if you are in good health, 59 is not too old. If you want to have "bikini worthy abs" then you must seek out a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques. As a Total Definer surgeon, I specialize in advanced body sculpting techniques. You would need muscle repair with definition and a low pubic bone level scar placement. Yes, advanced techniques do cost more than the routine standard tummy tucks, but it will not compromise your health. Complications can happen in the wrong hands no matter what technique is used. You are in great shape and a from the photo, a great candidate for a tummy tuck.  If you are in general good health you can certainly be a candidate for this procedure at your age. The stretch marks below your belly button and above the hip bones will be addressed.  Any above this area will be pulled lower.  A little liposuction can be added to the tummy tuck for extra contouring as well.  To find a highly qualified surgeon visit the ASPS website.  Here you can research board certified plastic surgeons in your area, review credentials look at before/after photos and choose a few for consultations.
