Lump on breast augmentation incision (Photo)

Question

I am close to 4 months post op, I had 560cc, silicone, placed under the muscle, with the incisions under my breasts. I noticed today that when I lift my arm up, a lump appears on my incision. Getting to my PS is a 4 hour trip, so I'd love to get some opinions on here before making the journey.

It looks like thickened deep scar, but it could also that the implant is close to the surface. Go and see your surgeon.  Drive safe!

Thanks for your inquiry, but without an exam it is hard to advise.  Please e-mail these pictures to your surgeon, for him/her to comment.  It may be scar tissue. stitch,  etc.

I'm assuming its just on the right side? In any event, it doesn't look like a hypertrophic scar or keloid. It also doesn't look like a part of the implant sticking out either. It might just be some scar tissue buildup. However, it does need to be examined. If you can't get to your plastic surgeon easily, then see a local one closer to you. It might be something simple that may be watched, or a simple scar revision could be done.

Despite the fact you're 4 months out, I still think that it would be prudent to give it more time... perhaps even 9-12 months, especially if you see some visible improvement over that time. Always better to avoid surgery, if possible. but even if it does not change, this issue will be easily correctable. Please try not to worry...

It is difficult to tell by the photos alone.  It may be the implant rippling, scaring or a suture.  I would make the trip out to see your surgeon to be safe.Best Wishes!

Hi, thanks for the questions.I suggest you massage the area where you came out and use a cream based on triamcinolone or silicone gel, it may be a keloid scar, or a point that wants to come out and behaves like a foreign body, which usually begins to come out from two months onwards. It is good to consult with your PS, before doing anything. I hope this guidance is useful to you. Thank you.
