I'm 3 weeks post op 800cc high profile silicone above the muscle. My left breast was a tiny bit larger to begin with, so it's understandable that it still is. I wasn't aware of HOW much larger it was and the doctor never addressed fixing that. The real issue I'm having is the bottom, center of both breasts have taken on a square edge in the past week. My right (smaller breast) is more noticeable though. What is wron!?!? I'm terrified they are becoming ruined!
Answer: Breast Augmentation - Post Op Swelling? Thank you for your question. You are still early in the post-operative period. It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

Answer: 3wks post op, 800cc and bottom of breasts are square and mishaped in the center. Thank you for your question and photographs. Remember that after placement of implants the appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months, as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. In your case the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest. As this swelling resolves the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast achieving a more natural appearance, and rounding out the lower tissue. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Hope this helps.

Answer: Implants and shape I think the biggest problem is that they are too large for your frame. You are probably best served with smaller implants and possibly a small lift.

Answer: 800cc Silicone Implants Thank you for your question. At only 3 weeks post op, you are still very early on in your healing process. If the implants were placed above the muscle, you will be able to see more of the implant vs. if they were under the muscle. 800cc is also a large implant, so it will take time for the breast to stretch and the implant to settle into place. If you are still concerned, it would be best to see your Plastic Surgeon in the office to discuss your questions in person. Good Luck!

Answer: Final results of breast augmentation take time While I appreciate it is difficult to wait and not worry, that is exactly what I advise. The final results from your breast augmentation will not be evident until at least 3 months out from surgery. Try to step back and relax and wait. I can assure you, this is not your final result. I would also say, that you look absolutely as good as one can expect for only 3 weeks out from a breast augmentation, especially with implants this size. Take a deep breath, relax and follow your doctor’s instructions. Flatness underneath early is actually good and means your tissues are resisting the urge to bottom out. The overlying tissue will stretch and everything will improve. I hope this helps !
