Engorgement after breast augmentation?

Question

16 days Post op breast augmentation from Ato C 290cc UnderMusc. no sign of bruising or redness inscition is healing. Left seem to be more swollen than the right. I'm functioning and just started driving. Not needing any pain meds besides occasional Tylenol or ibuprofen for migraine. But my breast still feel very engorge it doesn't look very swollen but it's still painful when I move. Engorge is I think best describes the pain, the skin feel sensitive to touch. How long will this last?

You are early post op and swelling is expected. It can take several weeks for the swelling to subside. Let your surgeon know asap however if one breast is twice the size of the other. Please speak to your surgeon to discuss your concerns.Regards,

Dear ms.jj,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 16 days  post op.
Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.
At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

its likely that everything you're experiencing is swelling related.  And if so, all you can really do is give ti time for it so subside and resolve.  Please let your surgeon know of any of your concerns so it can be assessed and reassurances provided where beneficial.

Engorged is a very good description of how your breasts might feel right now. As the swelling subsides and the tissues relax, that sensation will slowly go away. Your surgeon can show you some gentles stretches to help the process along. Usually by a month, most are not feeling so tight and swollen.
