I have a seroma and i live in las vegas. I need a dr. That will first off respect my decision that ive already made to go to the D.R. for surgery, but most importantly will help me to feel better. Please if you are that dr. Respond so we can get my body where it belongs. God bless.

There are many fine surgeons in the Las Vegas area who would be happy to help you - I have dealt with long standing seromas after surgery with drains, however, it is also important to be aware that in rare instances, the seroma may be associated with ALCL.  Therefore, depending on the circumstances, fluid and capsule may need to be sent for testing to rule this out.

I'm sorry that you are having this issue.  You don't state if you had an abdominoplasty (perhaps the most common procedure resulting in a seroma), when the procedure was done, or why the original surgeon is not addressing this.  Is the surgeon in your area?  Why won't this be addressed?
If you had your procedure out of the country or out of the state, etc., or there was some reason that you did not want to return to your surgeon, then followup with a plastic surgeon sympathetic to your issue would be best.  Best,

It is not uncommon for a patient to have difficult finding another physician to assume management and responsibility for a problem attributable to a procedure performed by a different surgeon.  I hope you would agree that this is easily understandable from both medicolegal and financial perspectives.  If however, you have a simple seroma, you should know that many of these can be easily drained in an urgent care setting, and if there are questions about the diagnosis, or difficulty with management (such as the need for a drain), interventional radiologists can often address the problem using ultrasound guidance.  Be sure however to enlist the assistance of your operative surgeon in helping to arrange for continued care.
