An 800 cc implant is a very large implant and is relatively heavy. If there is mimimal breast tissue and soft tissue coverage, the skin may stretch wth time , creating a sagging appearance. Avoiding too large an implant for your body can help prevent this problem. You may need a lift to correct this, and might consider changing to a smaller implant to reduce risk of recurrence.
Hello,More so in some than in others, these implants overwhelm your tissues and slide south. Your's happened pretty quickly, but not unusually fast though. Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in revision breast surgery. I would recommend an internal bra (capsulorrhaphy plus mesh) and possibly shaped/textured implants too. Best of luck!
Dear prettyitaliaa,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for your question! Its hard to do a proper assessment based on the photos you have posted. Be sure to do an in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure.Good Luck!
Big implants tend to sag more. The photos are not helpful, but there’s enough concern there you should see your plastic surgeon. Good luck! Dr. Aldo
Heavy Implants tend to be more susceptible to gravity, just like heavy breasts. The appearance of your breasts and the "need" for a lift is more up to you. The nipple should rest at the level of the breast fold or higher. In the photographs, the nipple appears at the breast fold, so a lift does not have a strong indication. In order to lift the implant to sit higher, an internal bra and NOT a skin excision lift might be the correct answer.
and if you want to keep your large implants and have a perky look, then a lift is indicated... but that brings scars, risks, costs, and even loss of sensation. So if its not that bad, best to leave things as they are until it becomes a necessity to do something. And if you want longevity, when that times comes for intervention, best to downsize along with you lift... but the decision is yours to make.
Without the benefit of an examination I can't hardly tell you what if any procedure will correct your issue. Best to follow up with your original surgeon who will have an idea where you started back in 2016 and best guide you forward. Best wishes
I can not tell from the limited photos you have sent. You are best to be seen in person. 800cc implants are the biggest ones made in the US. The weight of the implant can lead to earlier sagging than smaller ones.
The pictures are not very clear and are small images, so this is just general information that follows: Your large implants are likely to stretch your breast skin and either drag the whole breast, nipple and all, down into a hanging position below the fold, or to stretch just the lower breast skin envelope and bottom out (which results in the nipples looking high on an oblong/oval breast). It is hard for natural tissues to support heavy weight in the breast, so it is not unusual to require a lift (and/or downsizing of implants to take pressure off) in order to have a more durable and better supported, perkier, and higher sitting breast.
Dear mhosseini2,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to s...
Greetings, When you hear that competent plastic surgeons doing breast enlargements sometimes use dressings and sometimes don't, the real message is that either way is acceptable care. The important factor is that your doctor examines you after surgery in the office and proceeds with s...
Fatima,Thanks for your question. The mystery behind the contents of breast implants is blurred. Many 'non-physician' experts cloud the facts by making false claims that are propagated by the masses There are NO heavy metals contained in the implants (I just got off the phone with the Men...
