I had a pretty bad case of tuberous breasts so I had them corrected surgically about 4 months ago. I'm pretty happy with the shape, however my areolas are way too big. Is there a way to fix this?

Answer: Areola Yes, large areolas can be downsized through an areola reduction. You will want to wait a few more months before considering surgery. Once fully healed from the lift it can be done.

Answer: Areolar correction Congratulations on your surgery. It sounds like you are happy and your main concern is the size of your nipple areolar complex. There are pros and cons to every approach. The periareolar technique is an excellent one for the condition that you have however it is limited in terms of areaola reduction. You can certainly consider an additional surgery to reduce the areola size now. The tradeoff will likely be a lollipop shaped scar that extends inferiorly on the breast. If you are otherwise happy with your breast shape and size then this is a fairly straightforward procedure similar to a breast lift. Make sure to consult with your board certified plastic surgeon in person to make a game plan. Best wishes
