Can I achieve more volume at the top and less rubbing at the bottom of the breasts with a lift alone? (photos)

Thanks for your question. From your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for a breast lift with implants if you would like volume at the top. A breast lift would only address the droopiness and not the volume loss at the top. A breast lift can remove excess lower pole skin, reducing skin on skin contact, while actively reshaping the breast internally to provide more central fullness. The breast lift will also vertically move the nipple. Based on your concerns, a breast lift would be appropriate. As long as her goal is to remain approximately the same size, with an improved shape, this would be possible without implants.

A lift alone could achieve your goals, "more volume at the top and less rubbing at the bottom,'" but you will lose some volume. If the volume loss is acceptable, than a lift alone will suffice. If you have a desire to maintain or increase your breast volume then an implant would be required.

A lift alone would reshape your breasts to make them rounder and perkier. Your breasts wouldn’t lie so flat against your body. Implants would not be necessary unless you want larger or significantly rounded breasts.

You have substantial sagging below your inframammary fold, and a breast lift will reduce that to nearly zero sag; this will eliminate the rubbing. In the process your tissue will be redistributed into the mid and upper portions of your mound, along with a repositioning of your nipple areolar complex. This should give you some sense of upper pole fullness and more mound projection.

Dear Jeni, A breast lift will help reduce the amount of skin laying on your abdomen and get the nipples in a more favorable position but it will not give you fullness in the upper pole of your breast. Your surgeon may offer fat transfer to the breast but you have to have enough fat to use.

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

Based on limited photos - you appear to be a candidate for a lift. Since you desire more upper pole fullness- a smaller implant can be placed at the same time as a lift. You can always have just a lift- and in the right hands it will rejuvenate your breasts, make them perky, and will produce a long lasting natural result

You look like a great candidate for a breast lift using a superior pedicle to maintain the integrity of the upper part of the breast and an auto augmentation using the excess lower breast tissue to enhance the volume behind the newly elevated nipple position. The scar is on a lollipop arrangement. There is a smaller scar under the breast to give it a final short anchor pattern. No implant is placed. I would just do the lift only. Implants could be added at a later stage if you like. Unfortunately with a lift you usually don’t get good upper fullness unless there is an implant as well. If you decide you want impksnts I would do it in stages anyway. Lift first, implant a few months later
