I’m not sure a Medrol dose pack will help your painful spot. It’s difficult to tell from the photo if it’s bruising or otherwise. If it’s bruising it won’t help. If it is an infection you need antibiotics for it and not medrol dose pack.
It's difficult to tell from your picture, but this looks like a bruise, which is typical and can last 1-2 weeks after injections. Taking medrol should not negatively impact your results. I recommend following up with your injector to evaluate your painful spot. Best, Dr. Emer
I have never found that a medrol dose pack has been needed after injection of fillers, but I do not believe it would affect the results of the injection or increase the risk of infection. Just based on the photograph you provided, I would say the spot on your lip does not appear to be an infection. It is possible it could be bruising. I would recommend contacting the physician who treated you so that you could be evaluated in person if needed.
I don't think a Medrol dose pack is necessary. It won't help a bruise (may make it worse) and it definitely wouldn't help an infection (could also worsen it). Bruises tend to resolve in 7-10 days. You should return to your doctor and have it assessed.
It looks like you have a bruise based on the photo. I do not recommend steroids after lip filler treatment and I do not think you need it. Some physicians do offer steroids after certain lip fillers which can lead to excess swelling. I would give the lips some time to heal. This does not look like an infection but if you are concerned, I would followup with your injector.
It looks like either a bruise or less likely infection. Either way a medrol dose pack won’t help. If it was an allergic reaction it would help. I would see your provider who injected you as an exam is very helpful.
Thanks for the question. Unfortunately it's hard to say what is going with your lip due the blurring of the picture. In general you want to avoid medication as all medicine can have side effects. Prednisone is a type of steroid that is a strong anti inflammatory agent that helps to decrease swelling in general.....but it works by "dumbing down" the immune system. Generally short term use is okay if have to take it. I think the best thing for you would be to get back into your provider and let him/her take a look at the lesion in-person.
Hi DearIt appear that you have a cold sore (Herpes simplex 1,2), this virus is dormant and when we have stress or any procedure causes this virus get activated. Your doctor can give you anti-viral medication, plus steroid, this is not bacterial infection.Thank youSincerely,Ramtin Massoudi, D
Honestly, your face looks feminine. A filler like Restylane could help with the undereye volume loss. I also think you could benefit from Botox/Dysport treatment to the masseters which would slim the lower face, improve facial proportions, and give you a more heart shaped face.
Hi dear I recommend laser and Ultherapy first and then filler. I always start from top, meanig I use filler on bony structures in mid face and then work my wat down and also the is an area that place filler in jaw line where is a indentation and that causes the lift and pull muscle to make...
Hi and thanks for the question. Melasma can be managed and definitely helped with the right treatment plan. Usually there are several different things that we do to help patients with melasma and not one by itself generally gives you the result that you're looking for. For best...
