Keloid Scars After Breast Augmentation - Advice for Revision Surgery? (Photos)
Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from people who have experience with keloid scarring after breast augmentation surgery. After my first surgery, I developed keloid scars along my incisions. I’m now considering another breast surgery, and I’m really worried about developing the same type of scars again. I was wondering: - Is it possible for the surgeon, during a revision/re-operation, to make the existing scars smaller, flatter, or lighter in appearance? - For those who are prone to keloids, are there any preventative measures that helped your scars heal better after surgery? - Is there anything I should discuss with my surgeon beforehand to reduce the risk of keloid formation? After my last surgery, I did post-op laser treatments and used silicone patches, but I still developed keloids. I’d really appreciate hearing about other people’s experiences or recommendations. thank you
