First of all, let me say you have an incredibly lovely smile.Often it's easy to zero in on what we see as a negative personal imperfection, when it's the imperfections that make us unique and identifiable. The media uses image tools, makeup, lighting and photography angles to make celebrities look "perfect". They aren't.You are a very pretty young lady just as you are.
Hi and thank you for your question! Some degree of asymmetry is present in every face and it is part of our natural look and beauty and not necessarily a cause of concern. Based on your pictures, it seems that the asymmetry is very subtle in neutral expression and a bit more noticeable when smiling, which is also quite common. We can try to make some minor adjustments with fillers but you should keep in mind that making adjustments (and I don't even use the word "correction" since there is really not much here to "correct") for changes that occur or increase during facial expression with fillers is often trickier. You can try working with an experienced injector to see if you can achieve your desired effect, but my advice is to work in smaller steps and opt to use hyaluronic acid based fillers so that they cab be revised and removed easily in case you did not like the results. I hope it helps and good luck!
Hi there! Thank you for your question. Dermal fillers are a great option for counterbalancing asymmetry in the face by injecting small amounts of product to balance proportions. Always remember to do your research and choose a highly trained and experienced practitioner and take the time to have a consultation before your treatment.Hope this helps!Best Wishes,Dr. Rupert
Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Symmetry is a very difficult to obtain. Perhaps you should break down what bothers you the most - nose vs. lips. Then, you can deal with them independently. Depending upon your concerns, your nose issues can be dealt with a rhinoplasty. The lip asymmetry looks worse with animation. This is hard to correct as it is due to the muscles that change the positioning of your lip with animation. Neurotoxins are not predictable to provide lip symmetry given the pictures you provided. Best to seek a few consultations with board certified ASAPS and ASPS members!Best, Dr. K
Dermal fillers can be used to even out asymmetry. However, no one has a 100% symmetrical face, so you need to be realistic with your expectations. I recommend a full face consultation with an experienced cosmetic practitioner to assess you and advise of the best treatment plan.Warm Regards,Dr Glenn Murray, Absolute Cosmetic Medicine
Hey there - thanks for the question! It's normal for all of us to have facial asymmetry - including myself! It is usually almost always only apparent to the person looking in the mirror and nobody else. Noses are difficult to correct without very carefully placed filler or surgery whereas lips can be corrected by adding more filler to one side - but 100% symmetry is often very difficult.
Facial asymmetry is normal in all patients. For areas that are particularly bothersome or noticeable, improvement can be achieved with fillers or botox to raise, lower, or fill areas to match the other side. It is definitely possible to improve the contours of your nose an lips with an injectable filler. It is important to go to an experienced injector who can perform the procedure properly as their is a risk of tissue loss and injury with incorrect injections. I prefer a dissolvable hyaluronic filler which can be reversed if it is not to your liking. It is best to have an in-office evaluation to determine which treatment or treatments would help in your situation. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MDBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your question and photographs. Facial asymmetry is extremely common but non-surgical treatment options such as injecting fillers or neurotoxins can be used to correct asymmetry. I highly recommend you consult with an experienced injector to have your skin evaluated and to discuss treatment options that best suit your needs. Take care and good luck.
After five weeks, the swelling and bruises are entirely gone, so this is the final result in which you can see that there is a slight asymmetry on the upper lip which can be easily treated by adding a little bit more filler in that area so the lack of volume can be fulfilled and make both sides...
Thank you for your question. I personally have not seen this in my practice. If you desire to continue receiving injections in the future, it may be beneficial to try another manufacturer of hyaluronic acid fillers such as Galderma products. Best of luck to you!
HI It is very rare for an experienced injector to encounter that but usually sever sudden pain occurs and either blanching or purple/black discoloration occur. Every injector must carry the dissolving agent handy in case this happens.
