Can I fix my under eye deformity (I think it’s tear troughs)? (Photo)

i have these under my eyes which makes me so ugly and look so tired while my face is resting. they only go away when i smile. i am very insecure and never look people in the eyes because i am so embarrassed of how these look. in dim lighting i can’t see them but outside especially on a gloomy day they are so bad. i had these since i was a kid and i am very pale so that makes it even worse. i am only a teenager & these make me look old. i am wondering if fillers would fix or am i too deformed? :(

You seem to be a great candidate for fillers.  This is an easy and quick fix for under eye creases  that, in your case, look like mildly herniated fat pads with some hollowing at the tear troughs. Before going the surgical route, getting fillers is a better option as it is a safe treatment, less invasive with less downtime, and usually more cost effective.  Best of luck.

Dark under eye circles can make you look tired and older than you are. I would use a combination protocol that includes topical Melarase creams first, followed by a combination of injectable fillers, fractional laser, and RF to blend out the eyelid hollowness and tighten the skin.

Under eye bags and wrinkles can be permanently corrected with surgery or temporarily camouflaged with fillers (Restylane, Belotero, Volbella).There are great non-surgical options to fill in under eye depressions and hollowness. Using dermal fillers, a liquid eye-lift can be performed. A dermal filler such as Restylane would be placed in the cheek and tear trough to hide the depression or bag underneath your eye.
Surgery would require a fat-repositioning lower lid blepharoplasty. In this surgical procedure, fat from the eye area is moved into the tear trough depression filling the actual depression.

You have under eye fat bags and tear trough hollowness. Filler injection in the tear trough hollow area is an option with certain limitations. Another treatment is transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty with repositioning of the eye fat bags to the hollow area.

In my opinion, runny fillers like Belotero, Restylane Silk, and Volubella are absolutely the wrong fillers for this area.  These products do not stay where they are put. They drift from where they are injected and cause unwanted volume in the wrong places.  In contrast, Restylane stays were it is put.  On the other hand, it is essential to find an injector who really specializes in this type of service. It is fussy. I personally do not believe that PRP is effective and caution you about this service. Stem cells is double speak for grafted fat and this is very damaging to the lower eyelid as it causes unwanted scaring. Look with your eyes open. Get more than one opinion.

A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. The concern you have is common and is typically genetically related.  Fillers do a nice job of disguising the contour irregularities.  This is non surgical treatment with results lasting up to one year.  See an expert injector in your area to learn more.

I do see the area that is bothering you, but I would encourage you to be confident about your appearance--you are not deformed, and many people have things they are self conscious about. I bet this is something you notice, but many other people may not see at all.
Moving on to solutions, it is very likely that a small amount of filler plus some skin care could help to achieve the result you are hoping for. I would recommend seeing an ASOPRS - trained oculoplastic surgeon for a consultation. Oculoplastic surgeons are specialists in this area, and this delicate region definitely deserves a specialist's care. Best of luck!
