2 weeks after gynecomastia surgery, feeling depressed that my chest has not changed at all. Advice? (photos)

You are only a few weeks post-op. It will take a few MONTHS to see your final result. At that time if you are unhappy with the result you can obtain consultations with other board-certified plastic surgeons for a revision procedure. In the meantime, follow the advice of your surgeon and be diligent about wearing the compression vest that i assume was given to you to wear after surgery. I hope this helps. It is way too early to see your final result, it can take several months for all of the swelling to resolve. Try to be patient and give your body a chance to heal. Good luck!

I know that it is frustrating to not have your final results immediately, but recovery takes time. It will be months before you are completely healed and the swelling has fully dissipated. Be patient. Your chest will continue to improve daily. There is a good chance that you won't need any kind of revision but even if you do, you want to wait at least 6 months before considering. Best of luck.

Sounds like your doctor was not so renowned after all ! In general, I recommend that you consider VASER liposuction on your revision surgery. Please evaluate your doctor's before and afters so that you don't get disappointed again.

Swelling after gynecomastia surgery, in particular with liposuction, takes many months to resolve, on average 5-6 months and sometimes longer. This is surgery takes patience, as the swelling will actually increase after your plastic surgeon releases you to begin exercise. Lumpiness is also normal as this is part of the swelling.

you will have swelling and your chest will continue to improve for 4-6 months so you need to relax and just give it more time.david berman md
