Breast Deducfion insurance will be covert but I Also want a tummy Tuck at the same time. Just wanting to get A quote of how much $ it Would cost me just paying The surgeon. Thank you for your quick response. Ps I had a BR at 17 but when I got Pregnant they became massive again. It's been 2..5 years and I have had my son. I went to my PCP and we both agree a breast reduction is needed. I wanted to know what the surgery would cost. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Combination cosmetic and insurance cases are becoming increasingly popular. I would recommend first confirming that your insurance will cover the breast reduction portion and also look into your out of pocket expenses like deductibles and copays. A tummy tuck is usually around $5,000 and then you can anticipate additional facility and anesthesia fees on top of that. I would recommend setting up a few consultations with board certified plastic surgeons to discuss what your options are.

It will not just be paying the surgeon.  You will have to pay for the tummy tuck completely as a separate operation because your insurance will only cover the breast reduction.Often it is not the best approach to find the cheapest plastic surgeon. Does the surgeon specialize in this procedure? What are their credentials? How long have they been in practice? What percentage of their practice is cosmetic surgery? How many of these surgeries have they performed? Do they use the latest techniques? What do their results look like? Do they have photos to show of their work? Do they provide follow-up themselves, or will you only see the nurses (or even just an assistant)? Are they available by phone for an emergency or does one of their staff answer after-hour calls? What is the impression you get from their office and staff? Are they professional and informative? Do they know what they are talking about? You need to ask yourself all of these questions.

When comparing quotes from different doctors, check to make sure that the costs you are quoted are for the same thing! Check to see what type of anesthesia and facility you are going to be treated in. If the total price is lower but you are not going to receive proper anesthesia from a board certified anesthesiologist, then are you getting a better deal (or inferior treatment)? If the facility is not a certified outpatient surgery center but is an in-office procedure room, is the difference in safety worth the cost reduction? If the doctor is not a board certified plastic surgeon, is that worth the discount in the fees? I would say the answer to all three of these questions is no!

Assuming you are talking about a board certified plastic surgeon with plenty of experience in abdominoplasty, you need to find someone who you trust. This is your body, make sure you are making decisions based on the quality of care, the experience and training of the doctor, and proven results! Cost alone should not be the deciding

factor.

receive is from an in-person consultation.  A tummy tuck is commonly performed in combination with a breast reduction in the right patient.  If you are an appropriate candidate for a tummy tuck, this can be done through a low and short incision, all
completely below the bikini line.  The
belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the
exterior.   Your muscles can also be
plicated resulting in a flat abdomen.  Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise. 
Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of
real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate
their results.  The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are
comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified
board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Your first step is to be sure that your insurance policy will cover an additional breast reduction, as it may be limited to one. The cost of adding the tummy tuck will vary by surgeon and location.  The pricing will consist of surgeon's fee, anesthesia costs, and facility charges.  You will want to consider if you are done having children as it is probably best to wait to have the tummy tuck until after that time.

First you have to get insurance pre-approval for the breast reduction to make sure it is covered, and so that you can clarify what your "out of pocket" cost will be for that procedure. You need to double check your insurance policy because some stipulate they only cover 1 reduction in a lifetime and almost have strict criteria for covering breast reduction surgery. Also your health insurance will not pay for the anesthesia and operating room components of the tummy tuck or an overnight stay.
