When I look in the mirror I didn't really notice it. When I looked at my nostrils so my face was tilted up I noticed the nostrils were different looking which I thought was just me. When I look at photos I can notice it to the side especially when the camera takes it.

There is no harm in asking your insurance company if they will cover treatment of the bone spur. Perhaps they will respond positively because this is secondary to trauma and you apparently have ongoing problems. Hopefully you have excellent insurance coverage.
It is best to direct specific post-operative questions and concerns to the surgeon who performed your procedure to go with their preferences. Sunblock should be applied to the incision to protect it from the effects of the sun.
This is a complicated question that requires a visit with your physician.However, you might be reassured that the lining sutures in all cases used to close the skin would have been dissolving sutures.I suspect you have not disrupted anything.Call your surgeon and you'll be reassured.Dr. Hobgood.
