you could have these done together but you may want to consult your physician and let them go over what is best for you.
A cosmetic rhinoplasty can sculpt the tissue in the nosefor better aesthetics. This often involves removing the dorsal hump, reshapingthe tip, and narrowing the nose. Similarly, a blepharoplasty can remove orreposition tissue around the eyes to improve the way they look. This ofteninvolves removing excess skin and removing or repositioning the underlying fat. These can be performed together - lessening overall operative time, overall recovery, and overallcost. A detailed examination will help delineate the best surgical options.Consultation with a plastic surgeon would be the next best step.
Yes, it is possible to have both blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty done at the same time. This is something you should discuss with your surgeon. The procedures are short enough that it should not require extensive time under anesthesia if combined. It is advantageous at times to combine procedures because the recovery can be done simultaneously.
Rhinoplasty and upper eyelid ptosis surgery can be done at the same time provided you can find a surgeon skilled in both or can get two different surgeons to work during the same operative time.
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty and a rhinoplasty are frequently performed together.Keep in mind that following advice from asurgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what todo based on two dimensional photos without examining you, physically feelingyour tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history anddiscussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in yourbest interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what isappropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. Iwould suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplastyexperience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who isideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and arecomfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Robert Singer, M.D., FACSLa Jolla, California
Yes it is possible to have a rhinoplasty and a blepharoplasty done at the same time under one anesthetic. This will also allow patients to have one recovery period. It makes total sense to do both procedures together, rather than separately. Just choose your surgeon widely based on extensive experience with both procedures. Anticipate 2 weeks with some degree of bruising and swelling after the surgical procedures. For many before and after examples of both procedures, please see the link and the video below
Better yet, a video demonstrating the problem. If the problem is present in relaxed position, surgery may be an option. If only when smiling, Botox can help in certain cases.
Most of the notches resolve on their own. With your photo it is hard to tell. Gentle massage and warm compresses is the best way to treat it for at least 3 months. At that point if it is still there then you need to get it corrected and that can be done. RegardsDr. J
