Are my boobs normal? I currently wear a 34E (UK), I am happy with my size, but also wouldn’t mind going bigger. I am not too keen on implants, so would prefer maybe the transfer of fat. I’m just a bit self-conscious about my shape, and I am not sure whether it’s normal. I think I am more fuller on the top, and would like a way to become a bit more fuller on the bottom and my nipples more centred.

Hi, thanks for your question. You have quite typical appearances of tuberous breast changes but with good volume breasts for your overall frame. The overall shape and balance could be improved with a mastopexy which would make the nipple areola complex smaller, lift it, place it more centrally, and remodel the breast gland to provide a more balanced overall aesthetic. my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

Thanks for your question. From your pictures, it seems like you're a good candidate for a breast lift or a a breast lit with implants. Note, if keeping or increasing your size matters, a breast lift with implants would be best. You can also do fat transfer instead of implants. “Normal” is a big range, and your breasts do look like they fall into that category. If you would like more fullness in the top portion, a breast lift would be sufficient. The procedure reshapes the breasts to make them perkier, so your nipples would be move upward and point more forward than downward. The actual size of your breasts would remain about the same since very little tissue is removed, however you may find that you fit into your bra differently because of the perkier shape. Some patients find that they actual change bra sizes as a result.

Thank you for your photos. You have a grade 3 ptosis, which means that most of your breast is below the level of the fold underneath your breast, and your nipples are at the bottom of your breast. To reposition your nipple/areola to the correct level, a breast lift needs to be performed.  When your nipple/areola are elevated to their correct position, your breasts will have the appearance of more fullness at the bottom of your breasts and less at the top.  When the nipple/areola are elevated, they can be centralized more as well.  Having a small breast implant can give you a predictable and permanent volume increase for your breast. Fat transfer is possible, but the volume retention is not as predictable.  A detailed consultation with one or more plastic surgeons should help you understand the best option for you. Best wishes.
