I am 5’3 and have little to no breast tissue at all. I am under going surgery in 3 weeks and was wanting to achieve a full D cup. I know sizing is different in all cases but I was wondering if 410cc would get me to a Full D or DD? I have a medium build frame and weight about 150.
Answer: Cup size after breast augmentation Predicting bra cup size after breast augmentation is difficult because cup sizing is not standardized from one company to the next. Choosing the right implant for my patients takes time and clear communication. Prior to surgery, I spend 1-1.5 hours with my patients discussing their goals. I use Vectra images (3D imaging with virtual breast implants) to review multiple implant sizes and shapes. Every patient is then given a homework assignment to look at as many before and after photos as they can. I then have my patients bring the before/after photos they like most (sourced from RealSelf or other websites) with patients that have a similar frame size, similar starting breast size/shape, and the desired post operative result to their preoperative appointment. We review the photos together, critically assessing every detail. I download the patient's favorite before/after photos and project them on a large high definition screen during surgery and use those photos as a reference. I pre-select 4-8 different implant sizes in two different projections to have available during surgery. I then place implant sizers in the patient's body and compare the effect of the sizer on the breast shape/volume to that of the reference photos while the patient is asleep. I will often test several implant sizes while comparing the breast shape to the goal photos before finalizing the decision for the permanent implant. Using this method, I am able to deliver very precise results to my patients. But, cup size is a secondary concern because it simply is not an reliable method for producing consistent results. What matters is the appearance of your breasts after surgery. Hope this helps and good luck!

Answer: 5 ft 3, 150 lb. Will 410cc get me to a D cup Choosing the correct breast implant size can be difficult, especially as there is no standard as to what a cup size is. The bra manufacturers and also the medical community disagree on what a cup size actually equals. Some manufacturers, for example Victoria's Secret, may call a smaller breast a larger cup size than some other bra manufacturers. A 410 mL implant could possibly equal a D cup implant. If you are starting with relatively flat chest, some would say 410 is insufficient. At your consultation with your surgeon, it is wise to bring photos of others to show the surgeon what you are trying to achieve. The surgeon will also use of sizers and 3D imaging often to help you determine the correct implant size. Once pre-existing anatomy however may limit the size of implants, it may be possible that the surgeon does not feel they can achieve your goals due to anatomic considerations.

Answer: Implant sizing Thank you for your question. It is hard to tell by the picture you have provided. There are a few different factors that go into determining implant size, nipple to crease distance, width of the breast, natural breast tissue etc. I do think a 410 cc implant will bring you somewhere close to a "D" cup. I would suggest speaking to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options, questions and make a plan. Some Surgeons will offer you 3D imaging as well and this is a great tool to help show a patient what they can look like with certain implant sizes. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Cup size to implant size Hello, thank you for your question. That is very exciting and coming up soon. Its difficult to predict cup size base on volume of implant since everyones chest wall is different someone with the same size implants may require a size C or a size E cup size. It really depends. if you are going for another sizing bring a bra and see if it will fill it out. For more information check out our website.

Answer: Size I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being measured and examined, and trying on the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue. Then, you can actually see what size you like.

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants, and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author.
