Had "ear pinning back" surgery when I was 12 and there were sutures left inside - what type of doctor should I consult?

I had "ear pinning back" surgery when I was around 12 in another country but a lot of non dissolvable sutures were left inside ears and slightly protruding out of my cartilage. I am now 33 and every now and then it gets red and swollen and tender with puss. No doctor I have seen can help me because it's cosmetic and was done out of country. The sutures seem embedded. What would be correct doctor in Miami that I need to see and the price because I am sure insurance doesn't cover. Thabk you.

Removal of long lasting, embedded  in the cartilage sutures, may require very tedious procedure, possibly excision of strip of the cartilage where sutures are placed. Only that way you will be permanently released of this problem. Good luck.

You should check with some of the plastic surgeons or facial plastic surgeons in the area. If they have training in pediatric craniofacial surgery, they most likely will have done many of these procedures and can help you out.
