First and foremost, Dr Mittermiller is incredible!!! Where do I begin...from the very beginning of my consultation appointment, he has always been SO attentive and passionate about his work. I had a rhinoplasty in December 2021. I was so well educated from him on the procedure and what we will accomplish. I say WE because he is so involving with his patients. He really takes his time and and sits with you to come up with a plan until you are confident and happy. We had maybe 3 visits before my surgery just going over different reshaping ideas with photoshop. He also spent a lot of time educating me on my bone structure and how my nose works, and showed me how NORMAL BREATHING should feel like! It was a miracle even way before. Surgery day was SO MUCH FUN! The nurses and staff are SO kind and friendly and made me so comfortable. I get anxiety in hospitals and with needles, and I was nothing but excited and relaxed the entire pre-op. I know Dr Mittermiller took longer with the surgery than was needed, because he is that careful and detail oriented. Fast forward to NOW! I AM SO HAPPY with the outcome of my nose and breathing! He communicated to me so well of the healing process and stayed in touch the 1 week post-op to make sure all is good. Not to mention, the recovery was the easiest and painless experience for me. Now, Dr M and I do minor botox and filler to enhance my features. He is so conservative with it all and is really honest and realistic to my face structure, scale, and what will look the most natural. Nobody suspects I had work done on my face because it is so minimal and so true to my actual self. As a bonus, he is so personable, has side conversation with me, and asks about the latest and greatest of my life. I am about 11 months post-op and so so so pleased with him. I am now moving cross country, but will only go to Dr Mittermiller from now on and will make the flight. THAT is how awesome he is. Rock on Mittermiller!!!
Dr. Mittermiller was absolutely amazing!! I was seeking out the best option to remove several skin tags on my face, I had hesitated for so long because of fear of scaring. Dr. Mittermiller examined me during a consultation and assured me that he could easily remove the skin tags from my face as well as others he found on my neck and body with little to no scaring, he did not pressure me or over sell the procedure. I actually became very comfortable due to his calm and confident approach, I was also extremely impressed by the professionalism of his staff and the cleanliness and well managed office and clinic space. I had the procedure done on May 18 2022 and I waiting until now to write this review because I wanted to make sure that my face and body healed well before I praised the initial interaction I had under the care of Del Rey MD. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Paul Mittermiller and his medical staff at Del Rey MD. My life has changed for the better after the procedure he performed on me and I truly appreciate the doctor and his staff.
Very professional, patient and caring. Dr Mittermiller wanted to hear my thoughts and to understand my thoughts on what bothered me, what i knew about various procedures etc. Then took the time to discuss the pros/cons of the various options, including risks and expectations. Cant thank him enough. Highly recommended
Is there a reason you want to remove the cartilage graft? The tip graft is likely adding additional projection and shape to the tip of your nose. If the tip graft is removed, you would likely require at least reshaping of the nasal cartilage in order to obtain your desired result.
Setting back and contouring your forehead brow bone would open your eyes up a bit and make them look brighter and more feminine. There are other procedures you can consider, but I think this would provide the most feminizing effect for you.
Have you considered injecting filler into the area of depression to improve the contour? It would not make the skin texture to appear better, but it would improve the contour.
Bone erosion does not typically occur with a sliding genioplasty. It occurs most commonly from chin implants such as those made from silicone. On the contrary, after a sliding genioplasty, bone forms in and around the cut(s), which helps with smoothening the contours.
Shaving the chin can be safe if there is a moderate decrease in the size of the chin. It can be accessed through the mouth and would require resuspending the muscles. When performed properly, this is a safe procedure. If you need a significant decrease in the size of the chin, it may be safer to perform an osseous genioplasty. The correct procedure will also depend on which dimensions you want to reduce the chin (vertical, horizontal, etc.).
