Unusual lump 7 months after getting my ears pinned back. Do I just need to let it continue healing? (Photo)

I had my ears pinned back 7 months ago and have had a weird lump inside my ear which doesn't seem to be reducing. It has only been there since surgery. My doctor said there is still a lot of healing to do so I just wanted to make sure this is true? Many thanks

It’s best to listen to your surgeon as they’re more familiar with your situation. Allow sufficient time to pass as your surgeon suggests. You can also ask them what is causing the lump and how long you should expect to wait it out.

Hi Clarkebi,Ear cartilage is normally surgically folded to reduce the ear projection during Otoplasty.I think this could be a piece of folded ear cartilage that is normally done during otoplasty. This piece has fallen out of line unknowingly.It may slowly disappear if not it can be surgically fixed.40 years experience, American Society of Plastic Surgery.
