I would like to have fullness back in my breasts after pregnancy, nursing, and weight loss. I would like to know if a breast lift will be required before implants. My only goal is have fullness to fill a bra or bathing suit properly, not necessarily have high, perky, breasts.
Answer: Thank you for your question! In order to be able to maintain the volume of the implant at a good level. Most likely you will need a lift. Otherwise, the weight of the implant will make the breast sag. It would depend as well on the size of the implant that you’re looking for, but overall you would need a form of breast lift to get the best outcome!

Answer: Breast lift Dear PNW24, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs. Answer: Breast lift and implant According to the photo, both your breast volume has decreased and your breast has sagged, and your nipple is located relatively lower. You can achieve the result you want with a breast prosthesis placed in a dual plane and a lift procedure performed in the same session. Best Wishes Erman Ak M.D.

Answer: Post-pregnancy Breast Aesthetics Your breasts demonstrate routine changes that breasts go through after pregnancy. Specifically, you notice that your breasts are deflated superiorly and have descended nipples. The majority of your breast volume sits lower than they likely did prior to pregnancy. A breast lift will restore your nipples to their pre-pregnancy position and remove excess skin which will redistribute your breast volume to a more aesthetic location. The two best options to restore "cleavage" are either a small breast implant or fat transfer. I perform both techniques. Fat transfer is usually performed for my patients who either do not want a breast implant or want more natural appearing cleavage compared to breast implants. You are a great candidate! Good luck!

Answer: Breast Lift Based off of this photo, it does look like you have some breast ptosis or sagging. A breast lift would bring the nipples up to the ideal position which is typically at, or just above, the level of the breast fold. This would also redistribute the breast tissue into a higher position and give you an improved breast shape. If you are seeking more upper pole fullness or larger size, this would achieved with placement of an implant. Breast augmentation with an implant and a breast lift are often performed at the same time so it wouldn't necessarily have to be two separate surgeries. I hope this helps.
