It's been more than 9 months I have a hair transplant(2000 FUE). They have overharvested my donor area and the hair growth on recipient area is poor too. Some of you have suggested to do Scalp micropigmentation . Will it be noticeable when hair is shaved as I'm planning to keep hair short.

Over harvested donor area from FUE will always look thinner if you keep your hair short or shaved.  It's a paradox when choosing FUE since a strip FUT surgery will not loo over harvested.One way to address the issue is Scalp MicroPigmentation.

I would trim the hair shorter around the harvested area. It looks like the different lengths between the miniaturized hairs in the harvested area and the longer hairs in the adjacent areas are highlighting the thinner areas. My guess is trimming the donor area to the same length will take away some of that contrast that makes it so visible. If it is still visible you can add light SMP to the area to blend it better.

If you shave your hair to the skin you will be able to notice it.  The perfect length to shave your hair so SMP isn't so noticeable is a 5 O'Clock shadow or longer.  It will definitely blend in nicely at that length.

Keeping your hair short can help mask thin hair, but it will probably still be noticeable.  The subtle scarring from the FUE procedure may be more noticeable as well.  Best way to find out is to trim it down and see, and if it looks thinner than you'd like pursue micropigmentation from a reliable provider.

The area will still be noticeable, even when shaved. Your best option is to keep it shaved but also get SMP done to camouflage it as best as possible.
