Unilateral eyelid retraction or aging eyelid? (photos)

You can only know if there is some type of scar tissue causing retraction by comparing with before surgery photos. If so, it is necessary to re-operate and try to make a new incision to improve and undo the retraction that may have been caused in the eye.. Your blepharoplasty surgery is now 7 years ago and of course the aging process continues from there. I am not sure what you mean by retraction. It appears that you have a ptosis on the one eye that is causing overactivity of your eyebrow muscle creating the asymmetry. Ptosis is often a result of continued aging processes. So, it is likely that you will need a ptosis repair. An in person examination can determine if that is indeed the case. Good luck!
